Plan on 4 to 5 hours from downtown Boston to the Newark curb. The distance is about 225 miles.

We take I-95 south through Rhode Island and along the Connecticut shore. Then we cross the Hudson into New Jersey. Your chauffeur picks the crossing based on traffic that day. These windows add the most time:

• Friday afternoons, especially before long weekends
• Sunday evenings heading toward New York
• Weekday rush hours near New Haven, Stamford, and the bridges
• The days before Thanksgiving, Christmas, and July 4th

On those days, allow five hours or more. Slow traffic doesn’t change the rate you confirmed.

Airlines usually want you at the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight. For international flights, it’s 3 hours. Add the drive and a traffic buffer of at least an hour.

The train works well for one person with a carry-on. Northeast Regional trains stop at the Newark Liberty International Airport station. Acela trains don’t. The AirTrain is being replaced through 2030. On many weekdays, a shuttle bus covers part of the trip to the terminals. That’s one more transfer with your bags.With heavy bags, kids, or an early flight, every change adds time.

The short flight looks fast on paper. The risk is the connection, not the flight time.

From Logan Airport to Newark

Connecting from a flight into Logan to one out of Newark? Your chauffeur meets you at the limo stand at your Logan terminal. We follow your incoming flight. You get 30 minutes of free waiting after a domestic arrival and 60 minutes after an international one.

Send us both flight numbers. We’ll tell you if the gap between them is enough for the drive.

Worcester and Central Massachusetts

Our base is in Grafton. From Central Mass, we usually head south through Hartford instead of the coast. The drive is often shorter than from downtown Boston. The trip south also avoids downtown Boston traffic.

Drop-off at Newark Airport Terminals

Your chauffeur stops at the departures curb of your airline’s terminal and helps with the bags.

• Terminal A is the newest building. It opened in 2023.
• Terminal B is under renovation. Terminal B is the oldest building. It’s getting upgrades over the next few years, so expect some construction inside.
• Terminal C is United’s main terminal.

Airlines sometimes move flights between terminals. Check your terminal in the airline app the day before. Include your flight number in the booking, and we’ll confirm the terminal before pickup.
